Howdy, Palians!

Over the past few patches, we've noticed something pretty wonderful; you all really enjoy playing and working together during in-game events. Whether it’s working toward a shared goal or helping each other out, that sense of community and camaraderie has really stood out. We love to see it!

With that in mind, we’re introducing a new community-focused event designed to encourage teamwork and shared progress. We are excited to announce the Elderwood Piksii Blossom Bounce!

We’ve designed this event with different playstyles in mind. To help you make the most of it, here are a few tips and tricks for collecting your Piksii Blossom Bounce rewards most efficiently.

There are a variety of ways to engage with Piksii Blossom Bounce, intended for a wide variety of players and skill types, all of which offer opportunities for rewards:

Chill (Low Difficulty)

  • Some seeds will spawn close to the ground, so you can collect them just by walking, jumping, or clambering onto platforms; no bouncy shrooms, gliding, or tree climbing required.
  • You can help each other out!
    • Mushroom buds will appear that players can water to grow into bouncy mushrooms. The more people water, the faster they’ll bloom!
    • Some seeds are bigger, bluer, and worth twice as much. They start with a shield that can be broken with an arrow or smoke bomb. Break the shield and it breaks for all players!

Active (Medium Difficulty)

  • Five minutes before the fun starts, blue lights will start to trickle down from the tops of the trees where the event will happen.
    • This gives you some time to get ready and get into position!
    • There’s plenty of time to climb up to the top for the start of the event, collect the high up seeds, then gently glide down, grabbing more seeds along the way.
  • While the event is in progress, your climbing stamina will refill significantly faster!
    • If you’d rather climb than bounce, this will let you spend more time climbing quickly.
  • Floating platforms help you get from one tree to the other quicker and easier!

Experienced (High Difficulty)

  • Chain together bouncy shrooms, gliding, jumping, and floating platforms to zip up and down the trees as fast as you can
    • We’ve intentionally arranged many higher seeds in chains, so you can get as many as possible before you hit the ground

We designed the event expecting players would not collect all seeds in one go, so we balanced the event to still be rewarding when players only collect some of the seeds.. So whether you're diving in with friends or playing solo at your own pace, your efforts will bloom!

"The bouncy mushrooms and verticality in Elderwood, and the Deep Forest in particular, is something we really love and is really unique about that area. We also thought it had potential to go further, and thinking about ways to deepen and expand Elderwood's bouncing, gliding, and climbing spawned the idea for this event." - Richie Berry

We're actively monitoring how players engage with this dynamic event and may make improvements and adjustments in future patches. We also want to introduce more events with a wide variety of gameplay experiences to Palia, so we would love to hear what other kinds of events you would like to see in the future.

As always, thank you for playing, and get ready to bounce around!
