Sand, Sea, and Team Spirit: The World Claw Begins!

The World Claw is a community competition event built around one simple question: who will reign supreme - Crabs or Frogs?

The World Claw is a limited-time community event where Palians can choose a side in a friendly rivalry: Team Crab or Team Frog. Once you’ve decided on your team, every catch helps bring your team closer to victory.

This event is inspired by the excitement of Crab Wars and the energy of worldwide sports competitions. It’s all about teamwork, bragging rights, and seeing your team hop to the top.

How it Works:

• At the start of the event, decide which team you would like to compete for.
  • If you choose Team Crab: you’ll want to capture as many frogs as possible!
  • If you choose Team Frog: you’ll want to capture as many crabs as possible!
• You can contribute to your team’s total by capturing frogs and crabs during the Crab War dynamic event, or through normal gameplay across Palia. All catches contribute to your team’s global score.
• You can also optionally represent your team in the Palia Official Discord by selecting a vanity role to rep your team and coordinate with fellow teammates throughout the event.
• The winning team will earn a commemorative plush created in their team’s honor.

The Tidal Wave Photo Contest:

Of course, every sports game needs a moment of celebration and cheer as you compete for the big win. That’s why we’re introducing a second part to this event with a contest called “The Tidal Wave Photo Contest.

How to Enter:

• Dress up in your favorite jersey or outfit in-game and dye it to your team’s color:
  • Indigo for Team Crab
  • Green for Team Frog
• Hit the newest emote, “Do the Wave!,” available for free on the Path of the Champion
• Snap your best “Wave” photo with your friends, teammates, or solo-cheer, using the in-game photo tool
• Post your "Wave" screenshot on the #tidal-wave-contest Discord channel.

We will select up to 5 submissions as winners for a chance to win 3,400 Palia Coins each. Be sure to tag us @PlayPalia on social media with your screenshots so Palians everywhere can see your team spirit in action!

What kind of frogs/crabs count towards the total?

All Crabs and Frogs count towards the total. Yes, even the pumpkin rockhoppers!

When does The World Claw start? When can I submit my Tidal Wave submission?

The event runs from June 16 through June 23, 2026. Once the event begins on June 16, the Tidal Wave submission period will open and the submission channel will go live.

Can I work on this event with my friends?

Yes! In fact, we highly encourage you to. Channels like #lfg-chat and #parties are perfect places to connect with players ready to team up.

How does it work? What is the commemorative plush?

If more crabs are captured than frogs, then the Frog Team wins and a Frog Plush will be created in honor of the great win. If more frogs are captured than crabs, then the Crab Team wins and a Crab Plush will be created in honor of the great win. The plush will eventually be obtainable by everyone, regardless of which team you choose. The winning team simply determines which plush design gets created. The S6 team will begin working on a plush as soon as the winner is crowned and the plush will be available in a future patch.

Do I HAVE to pick a team? How do I pick a team?

Nope, you can contribute to both sides if you want to! There is no ‘official’ way to opt into a team, you just intentionally collect more of the other side!

Do I have to participate in Crab Wars to participate in The World Claw?

No. While the Crab Wars event is an excellent way to participate, you can capture frogs and crabs from all over Palia to contribute to your team!

What do I do with the frogs and crabs collected once I catch them? Can I sell them?

Sell them, save them, use them in recipes/crafters, or whatever you desire!
