Can you Dig It? Introducing: Hodari's Starstone Search
The sparkle of discovery is calling, and the mines of Palia are alive with possibility! All players are invited to join Hodari’s Starstone Search, a limited-time, week-long community mining event where Palians work together to uncover dazzling starstones and sharpen their mining skills.
From seasoned miners to those just who just got their first pickaxe, every Starstone you uncover contributes to a shared, glittering community goal. Team up with friends in Mining Parties or venture out on your own, knowing that every gem helps bring the world one step closer to success and puts a smile on Palia’s favorite hunky miner mentor.
Hodari’s Starstone Search runs from January 19 at 3:00 p.m. PT to January 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PT.
Goals and Rewards
If the community can collectively mine 300,000 Starstones (see the full list of Starstones below), everyone who participates will receive a set of rewards that dazzle and delight.

Do I need to collect ALL the starstones myself?
Not at all! This is a shared global goal across ALL players and platforms. Every Starstone from every player counts towards the total.
Can I work on this event with my friends?
Absolutely! Mining together can result in shared loot and lots of fun!
What do I do with the Starstones once they are collected? Can I sell them?
You can sell them, place them, or keep them – whatever you want to do with your starstones is totally up to you!
Do the Starstones have to be star-quality to count?
Nope! All starstones count towards progress.
What is the "Community Vote for a New Starstone Themed Tint"?
If the community reaches the target, players will have the chance to vote for which Starstone should be turned into a future in-game Tint. (Example: Ruby Themed tint, Sapphire Themed Tint, etc). The vote will take place on our official Discord server after the completion of the event.
How will we know when we hit the goal?
Progress updates will be shared throughout the week on Discord and social media when milestones are hit so you will know how close we are to reaching the goals!
