ICYMI! Celebrate Winterlights with a Snowball Fight!

It’s officially winter in Palia! In case you missed it, the Winterlights Store is open for business near the front of Zeki’s General Store. All Winterlights Store items have returned along with some new seasonal offerings as well! For the full list of available items, check out the Season of Splendor patch notes.

If you haven’t experienced Winterlights in the past, be sure to complete the Winterlights Wonder quest to receive your very own Winterlights Tree.

And no Winterlights celebration is complete without at least one snowball fight! Load up on snowballs and toss a few with your friends to get into the holiday spirit!

Introducing Game Board Decor

Winter is board game szn (unofficially, of course) and we’re celebrating with the introduction of Game Board decor!

Head over to Reth’s Register in the Underground Black Market to purchase the Checkered Game Board and Hunters & Chapaas Board for 1500 Gold each.

Hunters & Chapaas is inspired by the classic Snakes & Ladders board game. Play your own way by making up your own rules!

And no game board is complete without dice! You can purchase the White Six-Sided Die and Red Six-Sided Die for 500 Gold each, also available at Reth’s Register in the Underground Black Market.

Tints added to Hundreds of Decor at the Modification Bench

We know players have been asking for tints on recent decor sets. We’ve gone back and updated the following sets to be tintable:

• Lily Rattan Decor
• Summer Stripe Decor
• Pirate Decor
• Investigator Decor
• Winterlights Decor (limited to standard decor – no ornaments)
• And some of the Rummage Pile Decor

From warm, festive tones to icy winter palettes; you can craft a unique aesthetic for your homestead this season and tint your decor items to your heart’s content!

As always, earn log-in rewards by logging in at least once between 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Dec. 17 and 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Dec. 31; and then again between 10 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Jan. 1 and 10 a.m. PT on Monday, Jan. 13. You might just Bee surprised at what you receive… 🐝

Improvements & Adjustments

Glider Outfit Toggles

Some outfits such as the Pretty Protector and Stellar Sorcery outfits have unique glider animations as part of the outfit. We’ve added a toggle on/off option for players that want to use a separate glider, but still wear the outfit with a glider animation.

Crafter UI Updates

We’ve updated our crafter UI to accommodate Decor limit changes introduced during patch 0.183. Quest Compass Priority

The compass can become overwhelming with a high-volume of active or available quest markers. The team updated the compass to prioritize pinned quests regardless of player proximity to quest objectives.

XP Clarity Improvements

You’ve got some serious skills. Why not show them off? We’ve improved XP clarity by showcasing the amount of experience earned for each skill, such as foraging, mining, etc. You can even see when your XP is boosted! And if you prefer a lil’ mystery, you can toggle off visual XP collection in the Gameplay Settings menu.

• Addressed an issue where characters' faces would consistently display a ‘sad’ expression, ensuring a full range of emotive animations
• Fixed a memory leak triggered when players repeatedly opened and closed the Wardrobe; resolving ongoing performance degradation.
• Also resolved memory leak issues on the Nintendo Switch when entering and exiting the map or Premium Store, generally improving stability on the platform.
• Resolved an issue where recipes requiring Chopped Bok Choy, Chopped Green Onion, Chopped Napa Cabbage, and Chopped Ginger were not craftable.
• Fixed a bug preventing players from destroying crops using the Hoe.
• Resolved an issue where players using controllers could not jump after dismissing certain tutorials.
• Quest markers now appear immediately above NPC heads, improving gameplay flow and clarity.
• Fixed placeholder text in the second puzzle of the Earth Temple, ensuring proper guidance for players.
• Resolved an issue preventing players from completing the “It Takes a Village – Caleri” quest
• Fixed an issue on Nintendo Switch where mountain morels could not be picked up, and no pop-up prompts were shown.
• Fixed a blocker bug where the quest item key in the Temple of the Flames could not be fished, enabling players to progress as intended.
• Corrected miscalculated XP values for insect catching to align with intended progression.
• Fixed an issue in Tau’s Level 2 friendship quest where dirt piles could not be repaired.
• Resolved an issue in the "Fishing 101" quest where catching any fish would not complete the quest.
• Fixed a rare issue on Switch where a character did not render when another player entered the server.

Housing & Decor

• The Camping Chappa statue is now properly placeable on tables, allowing for more versatile decor setups.
• Fixed a bug that prevented players from placing items inside Worm Farms.
• Fixed an issue where decor placed on the walls of the Grand Harvest House would reset.

Social

• Resolved an issue where chat bubbles and some quest information were displayed incorrectly.
• Resolved an issue where the request button for recipe items did not function as intended.

Premium Cosmetics

• Corrected a bug where Premium Store's "Featured Flag" on sets would reset after localization uploads.
• Fixed an issue where PC players were unable to see active icons or cursors when inputting payment data, enhancing usability in the Premium Store.
• Addressed a problem where glider visual effects failed to display when traveling to Bahari Bay.
• Resolved an issue where gliders would disappear from the wardrobe preview after saving an outfit in the "Glider" tab.
• Fixed a critical issue where gliders failed to display in the Premium Store preview on Nintendo Switch.

New to 0.187

• Some players may experience minor misalignment issues when placing certain decor items, including curtains and tabletop decorations.
• Some players could become stuck in random locations around the Aurora Peaks Landscape – use the Unstuck Button as needed.
• Players could encounter a notable delay when previewing certain Premium Cosmetics in the Wardrobe or Premium Store.
• Players using controller inputs may notice occasional responsiveness issues.
• In some instances, Villagers may display unusual idle animations or appear off-center when standing in static positions.
• A minor UI issue causes some recipes to display under incorrect categories within the Crafting Bench, but does not affect craftability.
• If crafters are placed on Building Blocks, they may visually float or become displaced when the blocks are removed.
• Some players are unable to view any content in the Chat window.
• Some players could be disconnected and encounter the error: "Server Error: Failed to load player data!" Server traveling should temporarily resolve the issue.

Other Issues

• Water in Autumn Acres Landscape has a “grey” pop-in color issue.
• Some players are unable to send party invites or sync to the correct server, making multiplayer features inaccessible.
• The flipping mechanic in the cooking minigame could become stuck in a looped animation, preventing progression.
• Fireworks are not triggering properly for certain accounts when placed on Housing Plots.
